Packing List

Riding apparel and gear:

  • helmet (required for jumping seat; optional for western),

  • boots

  • spurs (optional)

  • gloves (jumping seat)

  • long pants (breeches for jumping seat, jeans for western)

  • shirts  (no tank tops) and jackets appropriate for all kinds of weather – warm, cold and rainy

 

Summer Camp Packing list 

Campers need to bring (Please label all personal belongings):
 

  • twin sheets (extra long) and blankets OR sleeping bag

  • pillow and pillow case

  • your phone (it will wake you early each morning!) or an alarm clock

  • towels and wash cloths

  • toiletries (soap, shampoo, etc.)

  • sunscreen

  • shorts and t-shirts

  • athletic shoes (for workouts)

  • refillable water bottle

  • riding apparel and gear

  • snacks for the dorm (optional)

  • resealable plastic bag for laundry detergent if you think you'll need it
     

Campers should not bring:

 

  • Expensive electronics, jewelry, excessive money,

  • gum

  • pets

  • Spaghetti strap tops, halter tops, or midriff-baring clothes


Available for camper use:

  •  Coin operated washers and dryers are available for use in each residence hall.

 

Personal Vehicles

  •  All participants will travel as a group to all activities and will not be allowed to ride or drive in a personal vehicle.

 
Medical Release

  • A physical exam (signed by a physician) is required for each camp participant. Proof of medical insurance (copy of insurance card). These should be uploaded to campnetwork.com two weeks prior to camp.

 
Money

  •  Campers are discouraged from bringing excessive money to camp. We will walk downtown for ice cream, etc. and will visit an Auburn bookstore for souvenirs. Campers may also want to buy extra snacks. Camp staff cannot accept responsibility for theft or loss of spending money.

 
BRING WITH YOU: A 3X5 NOTE CARD WITH THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:

  • Name

  • Primary emergency contact name and number (specifically for the time you are at camp)

  • Allergies (food, meds, stings, etc.)

  • Any prescription medications you have with you (this is a university policy)

  • Any health issues

 

NOTE: Alcoholic beverages, drugs, firearms, knives and fireworks are prohibited on the Auburn University Campus. Any items found not to be in compliance with University policy will be confiscated and the appropriate law enforcement action will be taken. Parents will be notified immediately.
